Basketball season may be over, but for players like Brandon Rogers of Carl Albert High School, the offseason has just begun.

Rogers helped the Titans to a 19-9 record under head coach Jay Price. During the season the Titans enjoyed several winning streaks of three, four and even five games. During that stretch the Titans were developing into a solid team. Rogers is a shooting guard who helped his team to the Area tournament.

Despite their best efforts, the Titans were bumped from the tournament, but the players learned a lot about adversity and what they need to do to overcome. For players like Rogers, it’s been an opportunity to work on his skills and learn from his mistakes.

“I learned how to still impact the game even when shots are not falling and I’m struggling to score, and I learned that my team are never going to give up,” said Rogers.

During the season, there were many moments that stood out for Rogers. From hitting some big shots to scoring a lot of points in one contest, Rogers said the memories are many.

“My favorite moment this year was probably when I scored 39 points,” said Rogers.

Rogers said he was impressed with the play his two teammates this season. Adrian Randle and Jordan Hawkins. Both players made a significant impact this season and Rogers took notice.

As for his plans for the future, Rogers said he is looking forward to attending college and starting that chapter when the time comes.

“I plan on hopefully getting an offer and going to college,” said Rogers.

Rogers said his source of inspirations come from his family. Their support has fueled him to outperform his opponents and push himself to constantly improve his game.
