Coach: Kyle Richey
2021-22 Record: 23-3
The Lady Titans of Carl Albert are looking to make their third straight appearance in the state tournament after posting a 23-3 record last year but were knocked out in the quarterfinal round by Will Rogers College. The team is headed by a trio of seniors who bring lots of experience and skill to the court. Ari Diaz (Sr.) is a three-year starter and brings a high level of intensity to the floor. Diaz has career averages of 9.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 3.0 steals per game. Kamryn Sutton (Sr.) had a great junior season while averaging 10.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game and looks to repeat that again this year. On the defense she is a master of drawing charges and getting opponents into foul trouble and causing turnovers.
Kennedy Cofer (Sr.) is a great mentor to underclassmen, acts like a coach on the floor, and helps players pick on new offensive and defensive schemes. Last year Cofer averaged 5.7 points, 1.0 steals, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. Ausha Moore (Jr.) averaged 7.0 points and 6.0 rebounds a year ago and will look to bring back her high energy and passion this season. Shelby Rousche (Jr.) and Lanie Moore (Jr.) are set to big solid contributors as well this season.
Coaches are optimistic about a group of freshmen who will be looking to make an impact as well including Jakary Brown, Essence Curry, Natalie Moore, Audrey Plunkett, Skylar Anderson, Jacquelyn Brown, Torie Moore and sophomore Evi Mitchell who is back after recovering from a torn ACL. Assistant coaches for the Lady Titans include Charissa Price, Paxton Kilby, and Robert Banks.
