“Kennedy has played significant minutes since she was a freshman,” Coach Kyle Richey
VYPE: What does this team and your teammates mean to you?
Cofer: Most of this team has been together for three years now, and we’ve worked hard to go from unknown to the state tournament last season. My teammates have trust in me, and I have that in them. We have fun together, and that’s a big reason practicing isn’t so bad no matter how much we run.
VYPE: When coach calls you the unsung hero of this team, how do you define that term?
Cofer: Being the unsung hero to me is just showing up consistently everyday with energy and willingness to do the small things that don’t always get in the stat sheets.
VYPE: What grade are you in this year and what are your plans after you graduate?
Cofer: I am a junior and have a 4.1 GPA. I am wanting to go into the medical field and playing basketball in college is always something I have in mind.
