As a freshman, Kasen Miller placed fourth at state last year at 113-pounds. Coming into the 2021-22 season, Miller was ranked No. 5 at 113 and one of the podium hopefuls for the titans.
We caught up with the sophomore to find out what he loves most about wrestling for Carl Albert High School.
VYPE: Kasen, what do you love most about your team and teammates at Carl Albert?
Miller: I love how we build each other up.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, on or off the mat?
Miller: Someone who has been a big influence in my life is my dad because without him I probably wouldn’t wrestle.
VYPE: What about the classroom? Do you have a favorite subject or a favorite teacher?
Miller: My favorite subject would be History and my favorite teacher/coach is coach Evans.
As the season is coming to a close, the Titans are ranked No. 13 in Class 5A dual wins over Ada, Midwest City, Lawton MacArthur, Noble and big matches in late January and early February against Del City, PC North and Harrah.
