

VYPE: How did your season turn out and what were your goals?
Shelby: I had a great season, my goal was to win it all and we fell short but couldn’t be happier with my team.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Shelby: The most fun I had this season was going swimming with the girls before state.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Shelby: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Rupe. She made me a better person and gave me a lot of snacks.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Shelby: My favorite athletic memory is going to the state championship my freshman year, the atmosphere makes everything better.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Shelby: My sister Bailey Rusche because she came in as a freshman with a big role and showed no fear.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Shelby: My favorite part about being on a team is getting to create long life friendships.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Shelby: I would go to California and would bring my softball team because it’s not a good vacation without a tournament.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing softball?
Shelby: My dad coached me and wanted me to be like my brother and I started when I was four.
