20-21 Record: 23-4
After winning the Class 5A state championship last season Carl Albert saw the majority of their varsity roster graduate. Despite losing those 10 players, head coach Jay Price believes his Titans can once again be contenders. “We have a young team and good kids that need experience,” Price admits. “But if we learn how to play together, I think we can get them in a position to be competitive at a high level by late in the season.” Jordan England (6-0, Jr.) will be one of Carl Albert’s leaders this year. “Jordan is a tough and savvy player that makes the players around him better,” says Price. “He should be a solid player and leader for us.” Another leader for Carl Albert is Tashawn James (6-2, Jr.). “Tashawn is a two-sport athlete that does all the little things,” says Price. “He makes the hustle plays and is a fierce competitor.” Leading a solid group of underclassmen for the Titans is guard/forward Quincy Hopkins (6-2, So.). “Quincy is a strong, physical player that can score inside and outside,” says Price. Jayden Mott (6-6, So.) is a long forward that Price believes has a chance to be a great player. Other Titans expected to play roles include Reed Dequasie (6-4, Jr.), Hutch Russell (5-9, So.), Mason Novotny (5-9, So.), and Ryan Reynolds (6-4, So.).
