2021 Carl Albert Football Schedule and Results
As a junior free safety/wide receiver for the Carl Albert football team and a point guard for the Titan basketball squad, Ta’Shawn James stays busy from August to February.
“I’ve been playing football since I was seven years old,” James said. “I just love to compete, win, overcome adversities, and most importantly have fun enjoying the moments with my teammates.”
James said even though the Titans haven’t gotten off the line the way they wanted to this year, he’s confident in the teams’ ability to pick up the pace.
“After our week two loss to Del City, we got some players back from quarantine and we made a few adjustments about the way we practiced for week three versus Shawnee. We know we still have a long season ahead of us and now the goal is to end the season with a record of 12-2. I was glad to go out there and see us get the first win versus Shawnee. We’re looking to build on that momentum.”
In his free time, James said he likes watching anime and listening to music. When he goes out, he said he can usually be found in Bricktown watching a movie and eating with friends.
“I want to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for going out of their way to show confidence in me,” he said.
