Carl Albert freshman Londyn Wilson is already carving out a role as a steady, vocal presence for the Lady Titans volleyball program, a responsibility she embraces as much for her teammates as for herself. What stands out most to her about Carl Albert volleyball is the way the group leans on one another through every set and drill.
“What I love about my teammates at Carl Albert is we are always able to communicate and encourage. We do this by acknowledging past mistakes, adjusting accordingly, and encouraging each other to make another play.”
Wilson’s approach to the game was shaped early by watching her older sister compete, studying the emotion and edge she brought to the court. Those moments in the stands helped Wilson understand how energy can change the feel of a match.
“My sister has always inspired me. She encourages me to be a better person on and off the court. She’s part of the reason I love the sport. Growing up I would always attend her games and observe her energy and intensity when playing. Which also helped me develop that trait.”’

Versatility is another part of Wilson’s profile. For her club team she fills whatever role is needed as a utility player, while for Carl Albert she focuses on defense and setting.
“For club, I am a utility player which means I can do all skills – passing, setting, hitting. For school, I am a DS/Setter. What I love about being on the team is knowing I have people behind me to encourage me when I am down.”
She values the grind of summer workouts and the way they test both mentality and conditioning. She also points to teammate Maggie Moore as someone who sets a daily standard with her effort. Off the court, Wilson sings in choir and is already thinking about her future as a student-athlete after graduation.
“Last season I learned that communication and attitude are very important. Whatever your mentality might be going into a game can really influence your performance. Most forget that, and it makes such a big difference in levels of play. A strength I have is my court awareness. My ability to read the court and communicate what’s happening can assist my teammates and I when trying to find ways to score. What I am currently trying to improve on controlling facial expressions, I’m visually expressive when it comes to displaying my emotions.”
